Utility Maintenance

Ellwood National Crankshaft (ENC) has an opening for a full-time Utility Maintenance position in Irvine, PA. This non-exempt position is critical for the daily operation and continued growth and support of mechanical capabilities at ENC Irvine and will report directly to the ENC Maintenance Manager. Occasional scheduled and unscheduled off-hour duties will be required. The Utility Maintenance position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair.
Maintain work equipment or machinery.
Repair and/or replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical/electrical parts.
Observe equipment in operation to detect potential problems.
Test mechanical/electrical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Clean equipment, parts, or tools to repair or maintain them in good working order.
Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning.
Reassemble equipment after repair.
Inspect mechanical/electrical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.
Analyze test or performance data to assess equipment operation.
Order materials, supplies, or equipment.
Record information about parts, materials or repair procedures.
Maintain repair or maintenance records.
Interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to inform installation, development or operation activities.
Cut materials according to specifications or needs.
Operate welding equipment.
Enter codes or other information into computers.
Train others in operational procedures
Operate motorized equipment (i.e. forklift, overhead cranes, and backhoe; among others).
Build and maintain positive employee relations among colleagues at this facility.
Perform adjustments, alignments, and calibrations on mechanical/electrical process equipment.
Maintain a safe work environment by assuring plant organization and housekeeping.
Assist, back-up, and provide support to the Maintenance and Electrical Technicians as required.
Assist, back-up, and provide support to the Purchasing department to maintain all aspects of inventory receiving and management related to mechanical process equipment critical spares.
Perform all other necessary duties, responsibilities, and projects, as assigned.
Performs other duties as deemed necessary.
Associates Degree or Certification with a focus in Industrial, Maintenance, or Manufacturing Technology, with 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent work experience.
Basic knowledge of AC/DC theory, motor controls, wiring methods, etc.
Ability to use a multi-meter and amp-meter.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or schematics for hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong computer skills, including Data Entry Software (Syteline), Maintenance Software (Maintemizer), and Microsoft Office programs.
Excellent organizational skills.
Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well with a team while also working independently.
Abide by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules.
Willing to work all schedules as deemed necessary based on business needs.
Regional travel required.
Familiar with manufacturing processes and product components.
Experience with PLC, Ladder Logix, and Siemens helpful.
Experience with machine tool repairs, including major upgrades and/or revisions to mechanical and control systems.
Ability to use an oscilloscope

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
