Electrician

Ellwood National Crankshaft has an opening for a full-time Electrical Technician. This non-exempt position is critical for the daily operation and continued growth and support of electrical capabilities at Irvine, Pa location and will report directly to the Director of Facilities. Occasional scheduled and unscheduled off-hour duties will be required. The Electrical Technician is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Build and maintain positive employee relations among colleagues at this facility, including providing timely communication and business updates about department metrics and function as well as addressing employee concerns, issues, and work needs.
Perform and/or coordinate testing, diagnosis, maintenance and revision work on ENC's electrical equipment, including controls, PLC hardware and software, electro/mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Perform adjustments, alignments and calibrations on electrical equipment when advanced knowledge is required.
Maintain and standardize all aspects of the preventive maintenance program for each electrical work center.
Manage product flow to maximize productivity and efficiency while maintaining a safe work environment by assuring plant organization and housekeeping.
Assist, back-up, and provide support to the Maintenance Manager to manage maintenance personnel related to electrical operations.
Work with ENC departmental managers to maximize production by identifying and breaking constraints, expediting product orders, and removing obstacles to efficient production.
Assist, back-up, and provide support to the Purchasing department to maintain all aspects of inventory receiving and management related to electrical equipment critical spares.
Organize, prioritize and lead all aspects of electrical equipment repairs, scheduled maintenance, facilities maintenance, and ensure completion in a timely manner.
Develop, maintain, and standardize clear work instructions for all maintenance positions in the maintenance department identifying necessary information and hardware for current/next job.
Train and develop all plant maintenance and production personnel.
Administer policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with established employee handbook and company practices. This includes supporting performance appraisals, promptly investigating workplace events when necessary, and providing coaching.
Perform all other necessary duties, responsibilities, and projects, as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree with a focus in Engineering, Industrial, Maintenance, or Manufacturing Technology, with 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent work experience.
Basic knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, cooling and pneumatic systems.
Basic knowledge of AC and DC motor drive controls.
Ability to use a multi-meter, amp-meter and oscilloscope.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or schematics.
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs.
Excellent organizational skills.
Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well with a team while also working independently.
Willing to work all schedules as deemed necessary based on business needs.
Regional travel required.
Must have a valid driver's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiar with manufacturing processes and product components.
Experience developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
Experience with machine tool repairs, including major upgrades and/or revisions to mechanical and control systems.
Supervisory experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
